Having Trouble Paying For Netflix? Try This Solution

For most people signing up to Netflix in Australia is as easy as explained on this site. For whatever reason though for some there seems to be issues with payment and credit cards not being accepted.

I’ve explained a couple of work arounds on this site. Well it so happens that there is yet another way you can make sure your payment goes through. Read on!

When setting up your Netflix account, use your own street address that is associated with the billing address on the credit card you are using and convert the postal code into a valid zip code as per our instructions below.  Be sure to take note of the city and state associated with the new zip code as you need this for your account set up.

Construct a VALID existing 5 digit ZIP code from your postal code as follows:

  1. Use digits of your postal code.  Add zeros to the end if you have less than 5 digits in your postal code
  2. Use this tool   https://tools.usps.com/go/ZipLookupAction!input.action?mode=2   to verify that it is a valid existing ZIP code.
  3. If it is not an existing code, then add 1 to the last digit and try to verify again.

Example postal code:  M1R 2L1
M1R 2L1 =  ZIP 12100
if 12100 is not a valid zip code, then
try 12101.   Still not valid, then
Add one to the last digit until you get to 12107, which is a valid US ZIP Code.

    The credit card tricks do not seem to work any more. In Australia and I have tried everything.

    Is there any way around this?

    I’m having problems getting past the initial sign up page for Netflix:

    I’m not asked for a physical address, just name and credit card details, and zip code. I tried the zip code workarounds but to no avail.

    Also I tried paying with Paypal but after I enter my email and password I keep getting a message saying ‘Your session has timed out. Please log in again’. I’ve tried countless times.

    When I use the credit card method I hit the ‘Start membership’ button and nothing happens – no error messages, just nothing.

    I’m using an iPad Air and am in Australia.

    Any ideas please?

  3. Hi, I couldn’t get Netflix with my credit master card. It said “Sorry, we are unable to process your request. Please try again later”.
    I tried it many times with different card.
    I need your help,pls?
